What is MAGPI?
Imagine exploring the ruins of Machu Picchu, or climbing down the strata of the Grand Canyon, or even exploring the vast reaches of space, without ever leaving your seat! Virtual reality allows kids of all ages to explore places - both real and imaginary - that they might not able to see in real life, and that they could certainly never see in the classroom.
Is there a cost involved?
Some of the video conferences do have a cost associated with them, typically $100.00 to $175.00. If there is a cost associated, you can schedule the conference at your convenience and you are the only school involved in the conference (a true one to one interaction). There are many programs that are free. The free programs are scheduled at a specific time and usually involve other schools around the state and country.
